1886: Fourth General Chapter
The opening of the Chapter took place at Valsalice, the last one presided over by Don Bosco. All the members of the General Council were re-elected. (cfr. MB XVIII, c. VI)
1930: Catacomb of St. Callistus
It was entrusted to the care of the Salesians on this day. Earlier, the Dutch Trappists were in charge. (cfr. “Boll. Sal.” 1932, p.292)
1940: Death of Father Bellingeri
In one of his last dreams, Don Bosco had read on the forehead of the young student Julius Bellingeri the word, “Fidelity.” The long life of th is exemplary confrere proved Don Bosco right. (cfr. “Boll Sal.” 1942, p.15)
