There were other auspicious events, such as laying the corner-stones of the Church of Mary Help of Christians (in Turin) on April 27. 1865 and of a large building, destined to become a Salesian house, at Mornese on June 13 of that same year, on the crest of Borgo Alto. (BM X, 257)

Father Baccino, an indefatigable worker came to Argentina with the second missionary. expedition. tinder a humble exterior he concealed the warn’ heart of an apostle. lit conducted day and evening catechism classes for boys, heard confession for several hours daily, preached in both Italian and Spanish, and visited the sick. Ms daily work load would have exhausted many a man, yet he never slowed down and was sorry only that he could not accomplish all that had to he done… (BM XIII, 130)
