1884: Badly needed rest

Don Bosco’s heavy schedule of work, frequent journeys and the doctor’s order forced hiril to go fora period of rest. For a month, he was at Pinerolo as a guest of Mgr.Chiesa. (cfr.MB XVII, 208)

1946: Close to Don Bosco

Father James Barnabe Darigatti entered the salesian house of San penigno at the age of 21. In 1887 Don Bosco sent him to Spain; saying “James, now you are going far away from Don Bosco, butyou will always remain close to DonĀ  Bosco.” After ordination he worked in Spain, Patagonia and Chile, where he died on this day.
